The Field Compliance Coordinator acts as a dedicated Safety Advisor, ensuring that all field operations within Abqaiq and SPARK adhere to the highest safety and regulatory standards. This role is critical in identifying hazards, mitigating risks, and fostering a culture of safety awareness to protect personnel, assets, and the environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Safety Monitoring: Actively monitor field practices to ensure 100% compliance with corporate and departmental safety policies.

  • Risk Mitigation: Identify potential hazards in real-time and advise field teams on effective risk mitigation strategies.

  • Audits & Inspections: Conduct regular safety audits and site inspections; document findings and track the implementation of corrective actions.

  • Incident Investigation: Lead or support thorough investigations into safety incidents or near-misses, identifying root causes and recommending preventative measures.

  • Training & Awareness: Deliver safety briefings and training sessions to personnel to enhance compliance and ensure high safety awareness across the site.

  • Policy Implementation: Support the integration of Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) procedures into daily operational workflows.

  • Reporting: Prepare detailed compliance reports and safety performance metrics for management review.

Minimum requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Safety Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related Engineering field.

  • Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of direct experience in safety management or a safety-related field.

  • Fresh Graduate/Experience Status: Must have the required 5 years of professional experience; this is not a fresh graduate position.

Technical Requirements

  • Technical Expertise: Proven track record in conducting safety audits and risk assessments.

  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with safety standards relevant to drilling, logistics, or large-scale industrial projects (SPARK/Abqaiq context).

  • Analytical Skills: Ability to investigate complex incidents and provide data-driven safety recommendations.

  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to advise and train personnel effectively at all levels.

Certification Required

Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Safety Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related Engineering field

Preferred Major

  • Major of Study: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety Engineering.

  • Certifications: Professional Safety Certificates (e.g., NEBOSH IGC, OSHA 30-Hour, IOSH, or specialized technical safety certifications).

GPA Scale

  • 4 Scale GPA: Minimum threshold 3.0
  • 5 Scale GPA: Minimum threshold 4.0
