Al Hoty Stanger Laboratories (AHSL) in the UAE started in 1986 with a laboratory in Dubai serving the town and Jebel Ali Free Trade Zone

As in Saudi Arabia our UAE operation is dedicated to quality of service and has maintained ISO 9001 certification by the British Standards Institution (BSI) since 1998. The company's quality awareness has been further recognised by the recent enhancement of its Dubai Municipality accreditations (for construction materials and environmental testing) to the more stringent standards of ISO 17025.

These awards are the culmination of nearly thirty years provision or premier quality testing services to AHSL clients in the Gulf where the company is the largest independent testing agency of its kind.

The Saudi-British partnership founded in 1975 by A.S. Al Hoty and D.H. Stanger, now operates from six regional centres in Saudi Arabia and four in U.A.E. - Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Jebel Ali and Sharja - mobilising to other Emirates, Gulf states and Overseas as required. The U.A.E. operation has grown in the scale of services provided and extended our reputation for quality.

Environmental Testing
Analysis of water and wastewater in Dubai and microbiological testing of food,water and other commodities
in Abu Dhabi have been established for some years. Recent diversification allows the provision of services 
for flue gas analysis of chimney stacks and environmental noise assessment.

Materials Testing
AHSL provide testing services for construction and other materials to a wide range of local and international
standards including BS, ASTM, AASHTO, DIN, SASO and others. Test disciolines include soils, aggregate, 
concrete and reinforcing steel as well as pre-cast and other factory manufactured products.

Calibration Services
Calibration services are offered for a wide range of equipment. Mechanical capabilities include mass, force,
pressure,torque, density and hardness. Electrical resistance, AC/DC voltage and current as well as humidity 
and temperature measuring devices are within AHSL's scope of activities. All calibrating instrumentation is 
traceable to national standards (NPL, NISR, SASO or similar). All calibration certificates issued record this 
traceabilty.

Inspection Center
The UAE operation is approved by SASO for testing of products destined for re-export from UAE to Saudi Arabia.
The evaluation of structures using core testing and non-destructive techniques. Sophisticated pile integrity test 
equipment based on impedance profiling methods provides significant technical benifits to this activity.
AHSL provides technical manpower for field inspection, sampling and testing and men and equipment for staffing 
and operating site construction materials laboratories.
